Public Participation Competitions


Join in the fun! Held once each day, members of the audience will be invited to partipate in the fun live competitons being held at the show. Check out the Show Program for times. Make sure you arrive early as these are always a huge hit. The winners each day will receive a $50 voucher to select items of their choice from the ACADA Trash & Treasuer stand (Stand 29-30)

There will also be Prizes & Give-aways at each of the Stage Areas each day!

The Ultimate Australian Cake & Cookie
​Decorating Compettition! 


​The Ultimate Australian Cake and Cookie Decorating Competion at the show is the largest competiton in the Southern Hemisphere. It's bigger than the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Melbourne Show and the Brisbane Ekka. Everyone is invited to enter, regardless of where in Australia or the world you live, or your skill level 

This competition differs from other competitions in Australia as it focuses on your personal growth rather than competing with others. It's a serious competition, however it's designed to instal confidence, motivate you, help you learn, and to grow. Rather than aiming for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, the competitors' objective is to receive a gold, silver or bronze certificate. Each year they strive to achieve a higher level. All we ask is that you do your personal best, be creative and have fun.

To encourage you to step outside of your comfort zone, we will be rewarding you. When you deliver your exhibit you will receive a complimentary 3 day pass to International Cake Show Australia, valued at $75. Every competitor will also receive a goody bag, filled with trending industry product. If that's not enough to entice you, there is approximately $25,000 in prize money up for grabs, as well as amazing product prizes.

Global Online & Live Sugarists Collaborations

Each year ACADA and ICSA gives cake and cookie decorators and sugar artists around the world the opportunity to CONNECT and to BE INSPIRED by each other.

YOU'RE INVITED!

The online collaborations for 2026 have now closed, however there is still an opportunity for you to participate and have your work featured and promoted live in the huge Florals & Fairies or La Fete Fantstique exhits at International Cake Show Australia. If you'd like to have your work featured and promoted at the show, you simply need to send an email to [email protected].  In the subject line say "LIVE EXHIBIT" and the name of the feature you'd like to be involved in (ie Florals & Fairies or La Fete Fantastique. Our Collab Manager will contact you to explain what's needed.

If you'd like to see the incredible work created by our global online participants visit the the reveal pages below. You will also be able to see many of these exhibits at the show. Unfortunately the "100 Acre Woods" Collab was online only, it won't be showcased at the show.

ABOUT THE SHOW & ACADA

International Cake Show Australia is the largest show of it's nature in the Southern Hemisphere. However it isn't owned by a big business. It's owned and operated by an incorporated not-for-profit community based association, the Australian Cake Artists & Decorators Association Inc (ACADA). The show is owned by it's members. The majority of Cake & Cookie Artists teaching and demonstrating at the show, are ACADA members. 

Most of the talent team working at the show are home based bakers and decorators. They  volunteer their time to showcase the amazing skills within our industry,  not only within Australia but worldwide! ACADA's objective is to inspire you to learn, create and grow. ICSA Cake Show is held as a not for profit community service.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

What if I am sick on the day, or can't make it, am I able to get a refund?

In the event you aren't able to make it, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else. All show entry tickets, mini class tickets and workshop tickets are transferrable, however given the huge cost to deliver the show and to host the competition, workshops and mini classes, a strict no refund policy applies.

International Cake Show Australia is hosted by ACADA (Australian Cake Artists & Decorators Association) a registered not-for-profit assocation. ICSA does not generate a profit, it generates a significant loss each year, which is absorbed by ACADA. It is held as an educational service and to showcase the incredible talent within the cake, cookie and sugar craft industry, and to foster and encourage multi cultural skills exchange.
