Terms & Conditions of Australian Cake Artists & Decorators Associatiation (ACADA) Membership.
ACADA MEMBERSHIP FEES
ACADA's annual membership subscription fees start at as little as $78 for individual memberships. Professional membership is $155 and Corporate Membership is $350 (inclusive of GST). We are committed to providing our members with value therefore we do not continually increase our membership fees.
We are a not for profit incorporated association therefore we are bound by a constitution. Any membership subscription increases must be approved at our Annual General Meeting. We are governed by our members. If at any point our membership fees are increased, this will not be implemented without previously advising all members in writing first. We remain accountable to our members at all times.
TAX DEDUCTIBLE
ACADA is an industry body, therefore your membership fees are fully tax deductible. Please don't forget to include your membership fees as a deduction in your tax return at the end of each financial year. Your invoice and receipt is available within your online membership portal (please see "You Remain in Control" below)
OUR BANK AND PAYMENT TYPES
ACADA uses a highly respected international bank called "STRIPE" for all our online transactions including automatic renewals of membership subscriptions. The following payment methods are accepted:
SECURITY - AUTOMATIC RENEWAL OF ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION
As of 1st January 2021, when you join you will provide your credit card details. Current members renewing at this time will also provide their credit card details. You will only need to provide this information once. When we receive your credit card information it is provided to our bank to set up your automatic renewal (recurring payment). We take your financial security very seriously. No copies of your credit card details are stored by ACADA in any format (paper or electronic).
Your Annual membership subscription will be renewed automatically on 31st December (or shortly afterwards) each year, regardless of the date joined, unless you elect to cancel your membership.
YOU REMAIN IN CONTROL. We have moved to an automated renewal subscription service at the request of our members.
The majority of ACADA members have elected to subscribe to ACADA Members Public Liability & Product Insurance. In order for their policies to remain valid their membership must remain current. An automated service means they no longer need to worry about misplaced invoices or manually renewing, especially as our membership renewal period falls over the busy Christmas period. The automated renewal system ensures your membership doesn't accidentally lapse. This is important as your insurance policy would then be at risk of being voided.
YOU REMAIN IN CONTROL
We understand our members want control over their membership. You will be totally in control at all times. You can cancel or change to a different membership level on line at any time. After joining and well before renewal time, you will be given access to your own secure personal ACADA membership portal where you can personally manage all aspects of your ACADA membership. This allows you to easily track annual subscription payments, to cancel your membership or change your membership level. You remain in control at all times.
SUBSCRIPTIONS & MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATION
By joining ACADA you acknowledge you understand your membership is a RECURRING ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP. This means you will automatically be billed for the following year's membership fees on 31st December (or as soon as possible afterwards) each year unless you cancel prior to that date. You can cancel your membership online at anytime or by emailing acadasecretary@gmail.com. Once cancelled your membership will no longer automatically renew. Your membership will automatically cease at the end of the current membership year.
Example: If you joined or renewed your ACADA membership on 1st January however on 1st June decide you are going to give up or have a break from cake decorating therefore no longer require ACADA membership you can log into your membership account and cancel your membership. Your current membership will stay valid till the end. At the end of the year 31st December it will no longer automatically renew. At this time your membership will no longer be valid.
If you cancel your membership however change your mind, you can log back into your membership account and reverse your cancelled membership. The choice is yours.
