CLASS 2 - BEGINNERS CLASS : No Boundaries
Create a cake of your wildest imagination, in a theme of your choice.
Open to anyone who has a maximum of two years of decorating experience (hobby or professional) AND has never won a prize in a cake decorating competition

CLASS 3 - OPEN CLASS: CELEBRATION CAKE - Harmonized Colour Challenge
Create a striking celebration cake of 2 or MORE TIERS. Occasion and design are of your choice. You must use predominantly white and 2 other matching colours. Be clever by choosing colours that highlight your design. Other colours in very small amounts are permitted for items such as flowers and foliage. You must make sure the cake clearly showcases the type of the celebration i.e. baptism, prom or graduation ball, anniversary birthday etc. Cakes for festive occasions are also ideal for this class.

CLASS 4 - OPEN CLASS : WEDDING CAKE - Fit for a Bridal Magazine
The winner will receive the ANNA MARIA ROCH PERPETUAL TROPHY. A tribute to an iconic Australian Cake Designer who was taken too early.

CLASS 5 - OPEN CLASS : HAND PAINTED CAKE - Theme of Your Choice
Create a beautiful hand painted CAKE OF 2 OR MORE TIERS in a theme of your choice, showcasing your hand painting skills, using any edible paint medium.

CLASS 6 - OPEN CLASS : MAGNIFICENT ROYAL ICING - Showcase Your Piping Skills
Create an inspirational piece to test your ROYAL ICING skills and creativity. Any style of royal icing can be used. Can be a cake decorated with royal icing or a freestanding design such as a 3D structure, or similar

CLASS 7 - OPEN CLASS : BUTTERCREAM CAKE - Next Level Buttercream
Create an inspirational piece to test your BUTTERCREAM skills and creativity. Any style of buttercream can be used.

CLASS 8 - NOVELTY CLASS - STORY TELLING CAKE - Judging Director Serdar Yener's Challenge
Story Telling Cake - Two Tiers Separated by a single Centre Pillar/Post
In this class all exhibitors MUST follow the same size, shape and height for their structure to achieve a unified concept within the class.
Design and create a cake representing a known or imaginative story or a particular environment if you wish. Use the space on top of the cake and area surrounding the centre pillar/post to place 3D sugar elements and fillers to make sure the theme of your story is clear. Centre pillar/post MUST be hidden with decorative components. Think about marine life, space venture, winter scenery or Christmas. The choice is yours! The possibilities are unlimited so use your imagination.

CLASS 9 - NOVELTY CLASS - SCULPTED CAKE - Cute & Cuddly
Design and create a sculpted or carved novelty cake inspired by soft toys and characters. Think soft and squishy, teddy bears and cute toy animals - there are no boundaries!

CLASS 10 - NOVELTY CLASS : ANIMAL KINGDOM - Showcase Your Love for Our Animal Friends
Sculpt a 3D cake to showcase an amazing realistic animal - use realistic features and colours. It can be your favourite pet or a furry or scary friend at the zoo. Add personality by creating your animal in motion or with an accessory or toy.

CLASS 11 - NOVELTY CLASS - SCULPTED BUST CAKE - My Hero
Create a sculpted realistic sized bust of a person or character of your choice, someone who has inspired you, it could be a profession, a character, even someone from history.

CLASS 12 - NOVELTY: GRAVITY DEFYING CAKE - Up Up in the Air
Create a showpiece that features an element of gravity defiance, inspired by flight or anything airborne. Think planes, hot air balloons, birds catching something, even UFOs. Things that you might see in the sky. Instantaneous motion of an object attached to a base with an extreme small connection would also meet the brief.

CLASS 13 - NOVELTY CLASS : CULTURAL EXHIBIT - Cake of Your Choice
Create a sugar topper on a cake or a sculpted novelty cake that speaks of your heritage or cultural identity. Be inspired by traditions, rituals or moments of cultural dance or significance. This could include landmarks, structures, art, celebrations or personalities. Your exhibit may be sculptured or tiered.
