Description:
If you're into cake decorating and want to take your decorating to an entirely new level, this is the workshop for you. Being able to master the airbrush means you can achieve a myriad of effects, both quickly and easily. An airbrush isn't used only to add detail it's perfect for colouring and adding shading to your whole cake. It enables you to master applying unbelievable depth. That means no more hours of colouring fondant! This workshop is suitable for all levels including beginners.
You'll learn how to mask your cake to add detail and shapes and how to paint a scene on your cake. Airbrushing techninques you will learn include airbrushing a gradient, how to make a skyline silhouette from fondant with hand painted details. On the top tier you'll learn to master edible images, something many decorators struggle with. Jacinta will talk to you about design selections and how to achieve high impact! This is one of Jacinta's most popular designs. When posted on social media it sent our sugar world into a frenzy! The reason is because THE DESIGN WORKS!
As the techniques being mastered in this workshop are airbrushing, mastering edible images and design, you'll work on a two tiered polystyrene cake pre covered in fondant. There's a lot to master in this class and we want to ensure you have maximum learning opportunity.
Jacinta will demonstrate the techniques used to make the Protea flower and leaves. This will include maing a Stryofoam centre and stem and will cover a section of the flower itself. Due to the complexity of the Protea the class will cover a portion of the flower from it's top petals through to the bottom petals and leaves, so you have a thorough understand of the techniques used. You'll then be able to finish you Protea at home (you will not have time in class). You will leave with the skills to cut, wire, thin petals and leaves and add movement to then. The class will also cover dusting petals, leaves and stamen and and how to apply the same techniques when creating other flowers.

WHAT YOU'LL TAKE HOME:
At the end of the workshop you'll take your two tier project and your protea to complete at home
PREREQUISITE: This class is suitable for all skill levels including beginners - No prerequisite required
INCLUSIONS: Ticket price includes 3 day International Cake Show Australia pass. All tools, equipment and
materials, tea and coffee provided. Please bring a light lunch, an apron and bottle of water if required.
At the end of the class you will be provided with a cake box to transport your gorgeous work home to impress your friends and family.
