ABOUT THIS AWARD
The ACADA Australasian Cake Oscar Awards are the most coveted awards within our industry in Australasia. You're invited to nominate a business you feel is worthy of receiving this prestigious award.

The INNOVATION & COLLABOARATION AWARD recognizes the visionaries who understand that our industry is stronger together. This award isn't just for the most successful business; it’s for the most generous one. It applauds the business that actively seeks out partnerships, mentors others, and creates innovative ways to work with colleagues, competitors, and creators to elevate the entire sugarcraft and baking sector.

To win this award, a business must demonstrate that their success is intertwined with the success of others. Nominators and voters should look for:
  • The "Co-operation" Spirit: Does this business collaborate with "competitors" in unique ways such as joint promotions, shared shipping, or co-branded product launches?
  • Knowledge Sharing: Do they host "industry nights," free educational webinars, or mentorship programs that help smaller businesses or hobbyists turn professional?
  • Supply Chain Support: Do they proactively champion local manufacturers or artists by giving them a platform or integrating their products into their own offerings?
  • Creative Problem Solving: Have they developed an innovative way for industry members to connect? (e.g., a shared kitchen space, a collaborative marketing collective, shared live streams, or a regional "Sugar Trail" event.... just a few examples).
  • The "Industry Champion" Reputation: Are they the first to offer a helping hand when another business is in trouble? A winner is often the business that others naturally turn to for guidance.​​
NOMINATION & VOTING RULES
​To nominate ​your nominee's business must be permanently located within Australia, New Zealand or Papua New Guinea. You are only allowed to submit ONE nomination per award category. Any duplicate nominations will be deleted. ​​
NOMINATION CLOSING DATE
 5pm on Sunday 29th March 2026
​ANNOUNCEMENT OF NOMINEES & VOTING PROCESS
Nominee Badges will be available to download from the website.

All nominees for this category will be announced publicly via the ACADA website and social media. 

Public voting for the four finalists will commence shortly after nominations close.  ACADA's team of professional judges will then choose the four finalists based on a combination of public vote and the judges scores. ​All finalists will be announced publicly on the ACADA website and social media sites.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE WINNER
The winner will be announced at the ACADA Australasian Cake Oscar Awards Gala Black-Tie Dinner at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) South Brisbane on Saturday 1st August 2026
