ABOUT THIS AWARD
The ACADA Australasian Cake Oscar Awards are the most coveted decorating awards within our industry. You're invited to nominate an individual you feel is worthy of receiving this very prestigious award.
This award is a GLOBAL SUPREMO AWARD designed for the haute couture (luxury) wedding cake designer.
Nominate the cake designer who defines "Luxury." Whether they’re in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Paris, London, New York, Jakarta or hidden away in a tiny country town. Nominate the Haute Couture Wedding Cake Designer who truly inspires you, the one who deserves to be in the spotlight and to be crowned.
This particular award isn't for the feint hearted. It involves a serious challenge many would shy away from. However, it's a challenge the very best in our industry will embrace and accept with excitement. Finalists for this award will reap the rewards of success. They will be extensively promoted. They'll be featured at International Cake Show Australia and have one of the most exquisite areas at the show exclusively dedicated to them. Don't miss the "Haute Couture Wedding Cake Designers' Marquee" when you visit the show.
PRIZE
The winner of this award will receive a A$1,000 Cash Prize, be featured in leading wedding magazines, receive an Oscar at the Gala Dinner and most importantly they'll receive the highly coveted title of International Haute Couture Wedding Cake Designer of the Year. This is the highest accolade a wedding cake designer can receive!
THE CHALLENGE
Once nominations and public voting have closed and finalists are selected, each finalist will be contacted. In order to proceed they must agree to accept a challenge that involves stepping outside their comfort zone.
They must design and make a themed haute couture statement cake, that will be transported to International Cake Show Australia. The finalists statement cakes will be displayed in the 'Haute Couture Wedding Cake Designers' Marquee".
The winner will be selected based on both public voting at the show, and the decision of ACADA's judging team, which comprises their heroes, bridal industry leaders and editors of leading Bridal Magazines.
2026 FINALISTS' CHALLENGE - SCENARIO & THEME
Design and make a couture statement cake (minimum of 1 metre tall) for a high profile celebrity couple's "Winter Wonderland" themed wedding. It's being held in a fairy tale castle in the Swiss Alps. Kings, Queens, International Royalty, "A" List Celebrities, Prime Ministers and Paparazzi from around the world are guests.
THE BRIDE'S BRIEF
The bride is giving you full creative license on the basis you create something grand, in a "Winter Wonderland"theme. Create a design fairytales and little girls dreams are made of, a creation that has the "Wow Power" to make every guest gasp in wonder and delight. Your creation is going to be the wedding's centrepiece. Design as if you are creating a Winter Wonderland masterpiece that is going to be featured on the front cover of the world's leading Bridal magazines. It will be the talk of the wedding (and the show), not only on the day but long afterwards!

NOMINATION & VOTING RULES
Regardless of whether they are local or from overseas the nominees we seek for this award, will be world class. They may already have a reputation for being one of the best, or alternately they could be someone who does exceptional work, still waiting to be discovered. They must however specialise in making luxury, haute couture statement cakes.
NOMINEES can live anywhere in the world! Please remember you are only allowed to submit ONE nomination per award category. Any duplicate nominations will be deleted.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF NOMINEES & VOTING PROCESS
All nominees for this category will be announced publicly via the ACADA website. Nominee Badges will be available to download from the website once nominations close. Public voting for the EIGHT finalists will commence shortly afterwards.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE WINNER
The winner will be announced at the ACADA Australasian Cake Oscar Awards Gala Black-Tie Dinner at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) South Brisbane on Saturday 1st August, 2026
