ABOUT THIS AWARD
This category is not about building massive cake structures. Instead, it celebrates the ultimate masters of fine art, colour theory, precise brushwork, and/or advanced airbrushing. This award category is for cake or cookie artists who use intricate hand-painting and/or precision airbrush shading to achieve flawless, photo-realistic cakes and portraits that look exactly like high-resolution photographs and edible paint artists who use delicate cocoa butter washes and/or soft airbrush gradients to create exquisite, illustrative masterpieces.

To be nominated for this category in our industry's most coveted awards is a huge achievement. The public and their industry peers have nominated the indiviuals below, as their favourite

You're now invited to vote for the four finalists.

The ACADA Australasian Cake Oscar Awards are the highest level of recognition a cake artist or chocolatier can achieve.   The four (4) finalists will be chosen based on the combination of number of public votes received and the decision of ACADA's panel of professional and industry judges. 

​Please base your vote on the nominees standard of work, and not their popularity or social media followers.

NOMINEES
​ANNOUNCEMENT OF FINALISTS 
All successful finalist for this category will be announced publicly via the ACADA website. Finalist Badges will be available to download from the website once finalists are announced. Prior to a decision being made, nominees will be contacted and requested to provide 6 photos of their work, together with their social media links. A rigorous judging process has been designed to ensure the integrity of all awards. Only the very best within their speciality move through to the finals. ​

ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE WINNER
​The winner will be selected based on a combination of public votes and the decision of a team highly acclaimed award-winning industry judges.  The winner will be announced at the ACADA Australasian Cake Oscar Awards Gala Black-Tie Dinner at Rydges Hotel, Southbank on Saturday night 1st August, 2026. 

The ACADA Australasian Cake Oscar Awards Black Tie Dinner is recognised as the peak event within the cake and cookie decorating industry.  Everyone who is ANYONE in our industry will be there! It's a night filled with excitement, anticipation, fun and surprises. Tickets are open to the public! Celebrity Pastry Chef Adriano Zumbo will be your date, he's your MC and host for the night. Come mingle with all your sugar royalty, they'll be there and ready to party.  

Tickets Include:  4 hour beverage package, 3 course silver service dinner, awards presentation and there will be giveaways on the night. Don't forget to dress up, this year's optional dress theme is "Masquerade"​
